cooking: korean jap chae

its been awhile since i have posted
i have been making my husband cook a lot lately since i am having food aversions
but i did manage to cook up some more korean food
this is a traditional dish loved by many... including me!
start by recruiting your kitchen help
find thin rice sticks and boil these until soft
drain and set aside in a large bowl
coat with soy sauce and sesame oil
this is the base of your sauce and will prevent your noodles from sticking together
blanch spinach for 3 minutes
drain and add to bowl with more soy sauce and sesame oil
sautee carrots with some olive oil
add to noodles with some soy sauce and sesame oil
{ are we seeing a pattern yet? }
sautee some sliced onions
and some green onions
toss both types on onions into the noodles with soy sauce and sesame oil
sautee some white muschrooms and add to the noodles with the soy sauce and sesame oil
i used some sliced beef which i found at the asian market
cook it in the pan with some soy sauce
once the beef is added, season with some sesame seeds and black pepper
toss thoroughly with tongs to coat all the ingredients with the sauce
garnish with some extra sesame seeds and enjoy!
