how to: sew a onsie into a dress

i love having esme' wear some of her brothers hand me downs
i think its adorable to see her in a boyish outfit and then jazz it up with girlie accessories
in this i decided to take one of the boy's old onsies and turn it into a dress
here it is. one of my favorites. it has a light colored motif to it of browns, blues and greens
and the animals on it are adorable!
i followed another tutorial by prudent baby
it was really easy and quickly read through the tutorial and figured it out on my own
essentially you are attaching a ruffled skirt onto the base of the shirt
i loved the muted blue color with the animals and thought the flower pattern was just girlie enough!
oops! forgot to trim that loose thread! must have been too excited!
the underside of the skirt till has the button crotch which makes it easy for diaper changes still yet holds the shape of the dress
 there ya go peeps!
