ok peeps, i am keeping it real today
i am 26 years old and have had three kids

that being the case, my stomach no longer looks as it once did and there ain't no shame in that!

so i looked into shape wear after i heard a friend tell me she wears spanx everyday

i have the original power panties

i only wear them when having to wear business dresses or for special occasions
the power pantie has a great slimming effect!

 one thing i hate is that they ride up when you wear them with pants and create this weird fat roll above the waistband

so to remedy my dilemma, i found the spanx hide and sleek body suit and decided to give it a try
this style comes in a full panty version and a thong version. it was pretty much a no-brainer as to which one i was going to buy. i don't like self inflected pain and walking around with the ULTIMATE wedgie all day long does not sound pleasant.

the spanx hide and seek normally retails from $65-85 dollars which is SUPER steep but i found mine on ebay for a cool $35.
it is made of a thin and shiny black spandex and has a scoop neckline
it is also has an eye and hook closure at the crotch to take care of business
{ whatever that business maybe ;) }

to begin, i already fit into my pre-pregnancy pants but i still have a case of muffin top

and the best pair of pants to display this are my high-waisted sailor pants
these are the pants that are best suited when in shape and obviously i am not

i liked the body suit because it helps suck everything in. walking around wearing it, i could feel the difference in my tummy area. it felt tighter than usual and not flopping around all over the place.
 it wasn't as form fitting and tight as the original power pantie which was disappointing because i was hoping for something with a little more oomph.

it didn't smooth out of my back areas either but created slight indentations where my bra met my skin.

the hide and seek did help suck in the pooch near my belly button which is my main problem area but did not meet my expectations as i had thought it would.
{ apparently birthing kids stretches out your skin there the most and that's where it all hangs }
the spanx hide and seek body suit will be a good under garment to wear when looking for more conservative coverage up top when layering an outfit and when i want to wear a more form fitting top while i am still in the post-baby transitional period.
shape wear obviously does not beat going to the gym and eating healthy but
if this body suit was made of the same material as the spanx power pantie, i think it would have exceeded or at least met my expectations.
